How long do you typically bleed after giving birth? I want to know so I would know how long to wait to get married afterwards

I continued bleeding until I stopped breastfeeding. But I think the worst of it lasted a week or two. If you tear, you might still be sore. If I were in your shoes, I would wait 2-3 months after to get married. You won't be as sore, bloated and will have dropped some baby weight too. The baby might be better by then too, if it has cholic or trouble sleeping. Plus sex at 6 weeks wasn't the most enjoyable in my experience. Just my 2 cents 😉

1-6 weeks, I bled for 4 then got my period 2 weeks later (exclusive breastfeeding too!)....

It's recommended you rest for 6 weeks. Midwives tell me: 2 weeks in bed, 2 weeks near the bed, 2 weeks around the house. I follow it and healed much faster than some of my friends. There is what they call the "fourth trimester" it isn't a joke.

I would wait until 12 weeks. You will feel more human.

Wait at least 8 wks to allow your body to finish bleeding. I'd really wait longer so sex will be enjoyable again as well.
