Do you love your first born more than other kids?

Debating this with my husband. What do you think?

There's a difference between having a different relationship with each of your kids, and loving one more than the other. I personally find it very disturbing if a parent does love one child more than the other. 😥

Idk if that's true. I'm my moms first born only daughter but my younger brother is her favorite. I knew this in elementary school. Even my friends seen it.

For example, my mom would pick me up from school first. One of my friends was staying with me for the week so she came home with me, we got in the car and my mom was on the phone. My brothers school was down the street on the way home so we picked him up, as soon as he got in the car she hung up, and immediately said😍😍😍 "HEY PAPAS!! Are u hungry? How was your day at school? What do u want to eat?"😍😍 With the biggest koolaid smile on her face😂😂😂 😃

My friend side eyes me and started laughing. I'm sitting there like 🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️ so u gonna ask me how my day was or nah? She didn't acknowledge me till we pulled through the drive through of my brother choice of fast food. And even then it was just "what do want? " 👀👀🤷🏻‍♀️ we get home and my friend and I go straight to my room (as I always did) and she starts dying of laughter saying "dude your brother is your moms favorite huh?" I was like no he's just the baby🙄😒 my moms pretty cool. Not 2 seconds later did my mom comes in all nice and sweet and says "Jessie b bad (the name I'm called when she wants something) "help" ur brother clean his room the I like it."😍😃Again side eye and chuckle from my trusty BFF👀😒 basically that meant to clean your brothers room... my friend about died when my mom left I hadn't even taken a bite of my burger mean while my mom and brother were cuddled up on the couch watching Avatar the Last Air Bender😒🙄

I think u guys get the point now.. lol I think it's funny now that I'm older , it'd make for a great comedy skitthays for sure😂😂😂🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm pregnant with number 4 and I love them all the same. Now do I get along with certain kids over the others? Yes. I have more in common with my son than my daughters but I still love them the same and still have things in common with them. My girls are tweens right now so there are a lot of days where they're bratty and we just don't get along and there are days where my son is a little shit and we don't get along. But I love them all equally.

My daughter (first born) will always have a special place in my heart. I don't think it necessarily means I love her more...

I love all 6 the same. I find that each of them have special qualities that make me love or admire them each for different reasons. And they each have their own special ways of annoying and frustrating the h out of  me. Unconditional love dictates my motivation. I hate when parents have "special" relationships or a "favorite". It's damaging to that child and their siblings. It negatively impacts the relationship between the children. That can last a lifetime. It disgusts me. No one will know or love you longer in life than a sibling. The relationship can be a rich source of support.

To be honest, I'm pregnant right now with my second (my husbands 3rd) and I am completely terrified I won't love him as much as I love my daughter because I love her so deeply I can't imagine feeling that way about anyone else. 
My mom says she felt this way about me too until my brother was actually born. She says your heart grows bigger than you ever thought possible. But to be honest, I know I'm her favorite 😂 
So, idk. I don't think it will ever be the same, because the first time is always the best/hardest/most magical right? It's like they MADE you a mom. You learned everything about being a mom from them.. I'm sure the love is the same but the relationship is different. People tend to be more lenient with their younger kids too because they've learned so much from the older ones.

I will not love one child more than the other. 
My oldest daughter, she's a surprise birth control baby, obviously we weren't trying and we're super shocked as my husband didn't think he could have children. However, God knew what we needed before we did. I will forever be grateful for my oopsie miracle baby. 
My second daughter, pregnant with now, we prayed for. She is our rainbow baby and after TTC for 15 months we were so blessed to find out we were having another baby, another girl. 
Different circumstances; both blessed; both miracles in our eyes; both just as loved. 
We have a Sunshine ☀️ baby 
An angel 👼🏼
And a rainbow 🌈

I wouldn't say I love my firstborn more. But he was my first baby, he was who I learned how to parent with, he was my first true love so I will always love him in a slightly different way to his sister and to any following children.
