I mean here in Florida the money goes to paying for scholarships so I don't think it's a waste. You either get lucky and win, or you're donating money to assist someone in getting their education. Idk if it's like that in other places

I've seen so many people on welfare and ssd spend hundreds of dollars for lottery tickets the day they get paid. Then beg for cigarettes the next day. A scratch off here and there isn't bad though.

I remember doing an activity with my stats teacher and we calculated the chances of winning the lottery and I was so surprised at how low they were that I've still never bought a lotto ticket. I have no problem with other people spending their money on it but it can easily become a problem.

I know people who have bought stacks upon stacks upon stacks of lottery tickets and didn't win. Yeah it's a waste when you don't win.
