Whooping cough vaccine?

So today was my doc.app. and I'm getting close to 28 weeks so I will have to take the antibodies shot where I have 0- blood and a tetanus and whooping cough vaccines.... Just out of pure curiosity.... does every woman get this shot ?( the whooping cough one?) has any mom to be or already mom out there not gotten this shot and was okay? ( I'm not saying I'm not Gunna get it lol. ) I just curious as I have never heard of this shot during pregnancy.

The shot is given during pregnancy to help protect the baby, your baby can't receive the vaccine itself until 2 months so you getting it while pregnant passes it on to baby to help be able to fight it off

I do not get it as it hasn't been proven safe for pregnant people to receive it.

My doctor recommended anyone that will be around the baby to have it. Im 33 weeks and getting mine next week.

Yes. I got it. And so did all the family who was going to be around the baby did too. It's more for the babies sake because that's the protection they will have until they can get their own shots.

I'm not against vaccines in general, but I would say hell no to any while pregnant. There's no way to know how your baby will react.

I never had it with my last 2. Never even heard of it given during pregnancy. But that was over 8 years ago.  This pregnancy I'm getting the shot. I hear to much about whooping cough out breaks now then I did back then.

I was going to get it but then got induced and never got it. Baby was just fine.

Yes, I got it, and my husband did. Whooping cough can be fatal to babie.
