Anyone had their first (NHS) appointment??

Question

Just wanted to find out if anyone has had theirs and what it entails? I just want to see it and be reassured everything is ok.

Any experiences would be helpful :)

My first appointment included discussing my Health history with my doctor, discussing any concerns I had and a possible plan for my birth. After that she did a Pap smear, pelvic exam, breast exam and sent me to the lab for a urine test and drew up about 11 tubes of blood. Lots of bloodwork!!!! And finally we ended with an ultrasound to give me a due date :)

Mine is on the 5th of June at 10 weeks. Just got my letter and apparently it will last for 1 and a half hours, so I guess there's going to be lots of testing

With my son they weighed me, took bloods, booked me in to get a scan (the hospital sent me a letter with the date for this) and went through lots of info about my health, family medical history, lifestyle, etc. ... though currently I am nearly 10 weeks and can't even get my first appointment booked! Useless new system in place in the South West!
