I used to be a seller on Poshmark. I put a lot of work into my photos - taking them on a solid background in good lighting, noting any wear, tears or stain (which were only on vintage items because I don't sell new torn or stained items, those go in the trash). With all the vintage items I sold, mostly jewelry, I never EVER claimed anything to be a stone or metal if I wasn't 100% positive. Well I've had a customer try to scam me already. She bought it and then complained it wasn't as described, when in reality my description and photos were exactly what the jewelry was. Guess who Poshmark sided with... the customer! Maybe she just didn't like it in person? I even photograph my items on people for size reference so it couldn't be that. Ugh. Why do people do that??? I'm not sure what there is to gain from it unless they just plain old changed their minds. I do not recommend posh to anyone. :(
