I think all three of my children have taken a spill from the bed and or the couch. It's scary, but it happens. Don't beat yourself up.

My sister was a wild child. Broke her collar bone, tibia, multiple teeth through lips, many bumps on the head all before 4. She's an amazing 8 year old now, not so wild thank gosh lol 😊 I think sometimes people underestimate how durable kids are haha.

When my baby was just learning to roll over, she rolled off the couch because we didn't realize that she was able to completely roll over yet. It happens. Tell your friend not to beat herself up.

I fell asleep feeding my baby when she was 4 weeks and she rolled off my lap onto the floor. Not very high, 3 ft max. I felt like the worst mother in the world.

But she wasnt hurt, didnt cry, and stared at me expectantly with her big grey eyes waiting for more food. Babies are very forgiving.

I'm gonna make your friend feel a lot better here. 
We used to have one of those little bouncer chairs, the ones  where they kinda lay in it and it vibrates and plays music. Well, we used to sit that on top of our tumble dryer (not while it was running obv) in our kitchen, we've got a really small kitchen and a lot of the time it was the only place my son would be happy while I cooked or cleaned. 
Well one day I came home, strapped him into the chair, made sure it was fully on top of the dryer so it wouldn't tip if he leaned to one side, and turned around to put the kettle on and make a cup of tea. 
The next thing I heard was the most horrendous thud (I feel sick thinking about the noise as I type) and there he was, on the kitchen floor, chair on top and still strapped in. When I said I had a small kitchen, I meant it, the space between the dryer and the cupboards was just about the same size as the chair, so not only did he go down, he hit the drawer handles on the way too. 
He cried for an hour straight, I hysterically called my boyfriend home from the gym as soon as It happened and spent the entire night shaking in fear. 
We called the emergency services and they checked him over and said he was fine. 
He is fine. Except for the dent in his eyebrow where he hit the drawer that still exists 4 months on..

Point is, accidents happen, some are avoidable, some arent, but they are accidents and that doesn't make you a shitty mom.

I can't even count how many times. My son is an adventure animal so even before he could crawl there was no such thing as a safe place for him. He knew how to wiggle out of straps and now he knows how to climb and walk everywhere. We just do the best we can but we can't wrap them in a bubble. She's not a shitty mom.

I was doing my makeup on my bed facing the mirror with my 5 mo old behind me, she rolled like 4 times and fell face first off the bed. She cried for almost an hour straight and had a bloody nose. I drove around to 3 different urgent cares until they checked her and said she was fine

My oldest child fell down the stairs, twice actually, once at my house and the other time at my dad's. We had a gate at the top of the stairs at my house, I thought my husband(ex-husband now) had locked it and he thought I had locked it. My son went out of my bedroom and push up against the gate and fell down 12 stairs. I was so scared, we brought h to the er an hour away. He had a few bumps on his head and he was shaking up but he was fine. Things happen that are out of our control sometimes, even if she's a mother like I was and very protective, accidents can still happen. Hopefully she will feel better about herself soon.
