making friends

So I'm 18, and I am currently going to community college. I am looking for a summer job... but what's really getting to me is that I have no friends. well I have one best friend but she now lives a few hours away from me. I am very close with my sister and family , but I feel like I need to have more people in my life to experience things with. I guess I feel lonely... my friends from high school kind of just faded away and I don't know how to make friends at this awkward age. At my school it seems like everyone is older and that they already have their chosen friend groups. I am so stuck... I don't think I'm an annoying or unlikable person I just don't know how to make lasting relationships.  Any advice or anything would be helpful 😊
