update on bad roomie
So a few of y'all were interested in my issues with my roommate. Let's recap:
1- she owes me $850 of rent
2- $300 of pge and $100 of cleaning fees
3- sis, she didn't show up to court, I only asked $850 because for 2 months she said she wouldn't pay it so I didn't want to argue in court (i was in a rush, work was an hour later) . Would have put more if I knew she wouldn't show
4- when I text her regarding payment (6/1 will be 4 months since she moved), she says I'm harassing her 🙄. Mind y'all I have the judgement in hand from the judge saying she owes me, so I'm sure telling her what's what's is not harassment . Especially since she didn't show to court.
5- She says she has a lawyer( don't think so, I asked to talk with them directly since she's crazy and she gave me no info )
6- Said she will press assault charges on my husband - for yelling at her. Again, she's crazy, someone yelling at you, while you owe them money sis , is not assault, only if they lay hands.
7- On 6/1 I'll be getting a writ of execution, having a sheriff escort me to her job, pop up like "so you were saying about not paying me the rent you owe?", talk to her employer, and garnish her wages.
SIS IM TRYINA MAKE A SCENE.
I've been polite, wrote her multiple messages *respectfully since I want my money, requested payments via Venmo( she rejected) and even took $400 off what she owes.
If I garnish her wages, it'll be on her credit report for 7-10 years, she's almost 30 y'all. She won't be able to rent/buy a nice home or cars, if so she'll pay an arm and a leg.
That's why I kept being so graciously bitchy, I don't want to fuck her next 7 years minimum. But, some people like it hard.
If y'all have any suggestions if another way to go about collecting, please let me know
Edit: Q- it's not only about the money. If she asked for an extra month, said she was having a hard time, I could wait. But she's very disrespectful and thinks I'll sweep it under the rug 👎🏽 if she keeps running around.
