extreme period pain 😕😕

So I'm on my 3rd day and all of a sudden waves of period cramps, and I mean like 9/10 pain hit me. It's been 15 minutes and the pain has not stopped. I took pain mess but they won't kick in any time soon. This happens often and I'm always in tears because of the pain. Anyone have any advice?
