checking babies weight before feeding?

Does anybody do weighted feedings where you weigh the baby breastfeed and then Check weight to see how much they ate? Probably sounds crazy but I have twins and I'm
Always nervous they are not eating enough and I read about this just don't know if it works wondering if anyone has tried it before

I did when my baby was having weight issues. You need a baby scale (don't use the whole method of holding baby on an adult scale as it's not accurate) basically you would weigh baby before you fed her in lbs and ounces then feed her, then weigh her again and see how many ounces she has taken in.

No but there's honestly no need to worry if babies are having plenty of wet nappies then all is ok!

Ive never done it but i know lactating consultants or doctors do it in their office if there's a weight concern. I think it might be unreliable and cause you a lot more stress if youre doing it on your own, especially if you dont have a specialized baby scale

I do it every week at a lactation support group. You should look for one in your area they are usually free

I haven't but plenty of parents do. You can buy these pretty easily. This one is from Costco.
