Joining before or after divorce?

My husband is active duty Army and I want to join the air force. We are separated and getting a divorce because of his infidelity. Before all of this, he didn't approve of me joining the military but now that he gave up on our marriage, I want to follow my dreams. Should I join before or after enlisting? We don't have children and I don't want any of his money either. So divorce should be easy... If he doesn't want our marriage, then I don't need anything else.
