Help my 8 month old baby keeps waking in the nights!
A week ago I started sleep training my daughter who was previously co-sleeping with myself and my hubby. She is exclusively breastfed and had been sleeping for 1-3 hours before waking for a feed since she was born. So basically I thought she's ready to sleep on her own room and bed, as I tried having her in a next to me crib, bassinet and Moses basket. Out of all of them she preferred the bassinet but only recently. She slept there for a couple of nights then started refusing being put down... So here we are a month after of her being back in bed with us. She has gotten a lot bigger and love to spread out and kick when she wakes up hence why I think she was ready. Low and behold after the first night of sleep training she went to sleep, waking up every 3 hours or so. Second night she actually did 6 hours amd then waking up 3-4 hours after, 3rd night 5 hours and then 4th night it went down hill. I believe she started teething on the second night as she had bright red cheeks, drooling and excessive biting. She was doing so marvellous and now it's all gone. I've lost routine with how I should go about with her sleep training as she keeps waking up every 1-3 hours again, even less nowadays. I've given her calpol for couple of nights but it wasn't really doing much and still don't see teeth so Ive crossed that off. But she has been refusing to eat solids too actually... Anyway I caved in on the 7th night and allowed her to sleep with us, as I am so tired going in and out of her room every hour or two to feed/settle her every night. I'm at the point that I'm so irritable. She has also started fighting day naps which I thought is the cause of her waking in the night, but she had 3 naps today which lasts an hour or more. But she woke up after an hour of putting her down for her night sleep😭. I've just given her anbesol teething gel to see if it is due to her gums hurting. Apart from that, has anyone have any advice on how to find my sanity and patience again please? And sleep 😖 She is such a wonderful amd content baby and I want to help her get the sleep she needs ❤ my friends baby is only a month older and he went through a month of not sleeping throughout the night and also refused sleep! 😭 I don't want to go through the same thing!! 😖 oh and here is a picture for you all to admire her 😍
