My 6 week old baby has pretty bad gas. He's almost exclusively formula fed (one breast milk bottle per day) and appears to be in pain from gas several times per day. He gets beat red and cries from it. We are doing gas drops, gripe water, tummy massage, bicycle kicks, etc.

Is this because of formula or are any of you breastfeeding moms experiencing the same? My pediatrician said this is a tough time for all infants because their GI systems aren't yet developed. I just can't stand to see him in pain, I hate it.
