lymes disease help

So my brothers dog was just diagnosed with lymes disease. He's on some heavy antibiotics. My question might be really stupid to most but is there anyway my children can contract this? The dog was licking them and kissing them and very playful. We were careful to not let the dog kiss their faces and stuff.
