anyone else feel super guilty about quitting breastfeeding?

I stopped because of extreme nipple pain and low supply. My baby was losing weight and on top of that I was in SO MUCH PAIN, I still can't help but feel guilty and angry with myself 😾

Don't feel guilty, you tried! It is freaking hard!  The best thing is for your baby to be fed and you and baby to both be happy. :)

Don't feel guilty. You recognized that your lo wasn't gaining weight and you weren't happy with your nipples being so sore. I give you respect for quitting now when you realized your lo needs more rather than later when your lo is really under weight. Just out of curiosity, how long did you try nursing for?

Don't feel bad breastfeeding hurts I've given up for a few hours give him formula feel bad and try again. I have scabs on my nipples. I keep saying I'm done breast feeding once I go back to work  but I love the bond even tho the pain hurts I'm scared to give up. You tried and that's what matters

Breastfeeding imo is always somewhat painful right away. It took a few weeks for it not to be toe clenching pain with both kids. If you think you were having low supply and pain you could possibly just have a bad latch. When baby isn't latched properly it's hard for them to efficiently remove milk from the breast. They need to have enough areola in the mouth to express milk. If they just suck on the nipple they will not get sufficient milk. Whatever you choose to do is completely your choice and don't feel guilty either way. Fed is best. My 2nd child is 4 months old and still ebf. Do what works for you.

This was almost me. I went to a lactation specialist and it helped for a day. Then I got a nipple shield and have never been happier. The more you breastfeed, the better your supply will be.  Continue to supplement with formula but you can get back to breastfeeding with the nipple shield. It seriously was a heaven sent to me!! 0 pain!!!

If you want to go back to it you can work with a lactation consultant for some help. She can discuss with you how to know if you have flow supply and discuss with you why baby's nurse so frequently. 
Otherwise if you tried your best and did everything you could, have peace with your decision.
