I am in my first trimester, tried fasting yesterday, it was a big disaster! Threw up 3 times then got extremely light headed, and still dizzy 10 hours later.

The baby is going to get what he beed no matter what you did to your self. On the other hand, God alwyas say our religion is about esse without suffering. I couldn't fast yesterday because i had flu and fever. What i would suggest is putting the effort to fast but as soon as you feel you are weak you should break your fast.
