why Do they cheat?

I want to hear your personal thoughts on Cheating. And why do you think people do it?

I cheated because my partner did and i wanted him to know how it felt.

My ex boyfriend cheated on me for supposedly assuming things too much (Not the one in the picture) and he said he never loved me for those 8 months. And that's what hurts. Yet I know I'm replying to my own post but I think people cheat because they don't want to break up with you and live with the guilt of your sadness so they think cheating is a good thing, hence why they do it.

But I say this to tell those who are recently cheated on to say this:

You are strong. You have been through hell and back, and you can get through it. It's okay to be angry, feel betrayed, lied to, hurt, and to cry. Yes you will go through those moments. But just know that Thers that one person who truly loves you for all of you. That they will be there for you through thick and thin.

There is a variety of reasons (99% unreasonable ones) as to why people cheat. The main reason is because they are unhappy in the relationship. Also due to insecurities or jealously if one partner is friends with someone of the opposite sex. But it depends on the situation and the relationship. Or it could be the fact that the partner who cheats has a sex addiction which is a serious problem.

People cheat when they aren't happy and their needs aren't being met. Whether that emotional. They don't feel appreciated or respected or feel they are being taken for granted or they feel neglected or frankly when you feel lonely even in a relationship. They don't feel admired or the attraction. They don't feel compliments and praised. Their ego isn't being flattered. Their physical needs aren't being met. Whether that's physically there if they are busy and not around a lot. Would rather spend time with friends. Or their sexual needs aren't being satisfied. We all have different sex drives. Sometimes they get an ultimatum and they choose what's not pressuring them. They feel trapped with kids and a wife and rent happy and search for it elsewhere. They feel controlled. He's jealous and possessive and they need a refuge from that. Or she is bossy and not picks everything and they fight all the time and he's tired of it. They aren't happy. They feel lonely. There's tons of reasons or excuses but it's never ok and never take back a cheater you taking them back tells them that it's ok to cheat because you don't want to be alone and he can get away with  murder.

I don't understand why people cheat myself my ex partner cheated on me with my best friend and don't speak to none off them as I got back with him and they kept it away from me and I found out by a family member ...

Either they're unhappy, or maybe they actually are happy, they just can't commit to one person.
