Father's day card

So our little one was born less than 2 weeks before mother's day. With him being our first one and us getting the hang of being first time parents we didn't send mother's day cards to either mother. Not because we didn't want to, we were just a little caught up with our new little guy. My mom understood but my mil was legit pissed off that she didn't get a card. Now with fathers day coming up we are debating on sending one to my fil because my mil will be mad that he's getting one. And she's the type of person who will always remind us of it. Garantee next mother's day she will say something. Would you be mad if you didn't get a card? Would you send a card to your fll?
