Being sick always works for me if I don't go into detail, and if they pry too much, hit them with the PMS story 😜 they won't ask you ever again

I'm always pretty honest just never go in depth. Usually just say "I won't be able to make it in today, I'm sick" I'm pretty lame.

I did call in sick once in high school to go to a concert. My boss found out. They had a good laugh about it, luckily they weren't too mad.

So when I was at my first job in high school I was so nervous about calling out. So something came up and I couldn't get the day off so when I called in I said I had to go to a funeral. My step Mom went in later (to get food) and they asked if I was doing okay. She said it was so hard for her to not laugh.
