Sexualizing/clothing for minors

I saw this post on Tumblr today that basically said that it's fine for minors to express themselves through clothing but that when adults design the clothing for kids 10-15 to be suggestive (cut outs, cropping, shorts that show half the butt, etc) it is not acceptable and that the blame goes fully to the designers and the people who sexualize these minors. Do you agree with this standpoint? Because to me, the blame doesn't fully go to the designers who are following the trend and society, to keep their clothing selling. But I also feel the parents should have some sort of say in the clothing because at some point a line needs to be drawn. To clarify, I mean makeup and the like is fine but when a minor goes from 15 to looking 25, that's a concern. As for the ones sexualizing these children, I don't agree with and never will.

I blame society for sexualizing clothing to begin with.

I don't know how to answer you, but I don't care what other people wear, even if they're children. If people look at me in my crop top and sexualize me, that's their fault. I'm just wearing a cute shirt. If someone looks at anyone and sexualize them for walking down the street in short shorts, they are in the wrong. That person is walking down the street. There is no need to sexualize them.

As a teenager it's HARD to find NICE shorts that don't show my ass. A SHIRT that I can move in without worrying about a nip slip.I however don't like to wear more provacative clothes. So NO my mom doesn't let me go out in sexual clothes. But it's getting harder and harder to find clothes that aren't so sexualized

No, because even if they were completely naked, it's possible to not sexualize a minor. The fault is on the people who sexualize minors. Not what the minor chooses to wear.

It's hard though, my 11 yr old doesn't fit in Kids size clothes anymore unless they offer 16/18 sizes and most don't. She's not overweight either she's just tall and solid. But I hate finding clothes from the junior section because their too vain, too revealing, tighter fits. I mean I keep her in tshirt, capris etc but I have to admit it's a little harder in the juniors section. Little Kids & adults have more variety..
