Tampons?

I'm 13 and I don't use tampons I use pads usually but I'm going to summer camp soon and I'm supposed to be on my period then.  I love to swim but if I want to then I'll have to use a tampon... I heard they're uncomfortable and I'm scared to try one.  I need advice 😣

They aren't uncomfortable at all. I say try them out before you have to go there. Only on your period of course. The best way for me to insert them is when I'm crouching like if I'm playing leap frog. When I put them in that way, I can't even feel them in.

Try them! Make sure you know how to and it might take a few tries, so don't get discouraged! Make sure you tilt the tampon slightly toward your lower back as you put it in.

I was in the same situation last year. They aren't uncomfortable, and they allowed me to swim and enjoy myself.

They are for maybe the first through third day,but their just like pads bc you have to get used to either of them altogether.

Truthfully when I was your age I used nothing and swam. The water kinda keeps it in. Now older I use a menstrual cup but if tampons freak you out this probably would too

If you put them in correctly they aren't uncomfortable. I use Playtex Sport regulars and they are small and compact and super good for swimming ( I swim competitively). Try them out and if you don't like them then you don't like them no biggie. I've tried and disliked many products and brands it's part of the process to find out what you like. Good luck girl!! 😜
