maternity leave problems
I am about to start a job in PA in June when I'll be 23 weeks. Only problem is that I live in NJ and was spoiled by my previous NJ employers and being able to get temporary disability through the state. Apparently nothing exists for PA mothers (it's actually quite sad). Now I realize that I'll only be able to be out of work while in the hospital and will most likely have to work until I go into labor and return while baby is less than a week old. I'm a little depressed about this and have started looking into jobs in NJ as well so that I might be able to qualify for temporary disability in state. I really thought the PA job was my dream but apparently PA doesn't care about new moms.
