depo shot

It makes me hungrier I believe, but at the same time I don't know cause I eat out of boredom. Also, I've noticed I'll get random cramps here and there which I don't mind because they're very minimal. But, starting Friday night I've starting having this brown-ish discharge that isn't even like real discharge cause it's very thick. And I've read that some people get this for MONTHS, yet I'm now just getting this and idk how long it should really last. Like what's the shortest time it could happen cause I don't want it to last forever. I also don't want this discharge to affect my sex life. 

For anyone on the shot, could you give me some advice on everything I kind of stayed and how the shot works for you?? If you like it or not??
