1990s Tri-state Scandal

Ce

Hello people, I haven't been on much but I thought CC might enjoy some scandal. As usual, if you know extra information please share so that we can all enjoy.

👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻

In the mid 1990's a man who ran a crematorium on his property fell ill and sent for his son to take over the family business. His son was a football player, but he quit all that to come home. All is fine at first except the father does eventually die.

Years later a guy delivering gas to the property calls the cops and says there's bodies (assumedly in the wrong place). He is ignored. Later a guy hiking in the woods nearby and calls EVS saying he's found a body out there. Again ignored. Finally there's a guy walking his dog and he finds and human bone. He gets the cops attention.

They comes out and there are corpses rotting everywhere. They're on the floor putrefying, they're stuffed in a old hearse, they're in caskets, the woods, there's even one in the machine that cremates them. They're everywhere and he's been sending families cement dust in urns. Over the 300 bodies and millions spent on clean up later, the son lands in jail for 12 years and was released.

☞The question for CC today is why do you think he did it? He gave no explanation and apparently none of his family noticed, nor did the funeral homes he worked with.

Optional theories➡

⚬He wanted revenge on his father for ruining his chances at college. People do crazy things to hurt others right?

⚬He obtained a brain injury by playing football. Which lead to decreased decision making skills, to say the least.

⚬(Via his lawyer) He had mercury poisoning. Mercury in old tooth fillings can cause mercury poisoning in poorly ventilated facilities, like the one the son was using. Bonus: the father also could have fell ill for this reason.

⚬He was just lazy. Which seems unlikely considering hauling all those limp rotted bodies around with the risk of being caught, in comparison to just doing his job. Though he did successfully cremate over 1000 people before they piled up.
