HPV test

I just got a call back from my OB/GYN about my Pap smear. It was negative, but the nurse said I was positive for HPV, though it's not one of the most likely strains for causing cancer. I was negative before I met my husband. I'm not mad at him, but I feel a little mad toward the medical community.
I was in my late 20s when Gardasil came out and my doctor said I could get the shot but insurance wouldn't pay for it and it was expensive. I didn't, and still don't, have money to throw around. And since I wasn't even seeing anyone I didn't get it. I didn't think about it when I met my husband. Now I don't know how worried I should be, or if it's no big deal since it isn't one of the more cancer causing strains.
But why can't insurance just pay for the vaccine anyway if you're negative? Although I guess it wouldn't have done any good in my case since it isn't one of those four strains in Gardasil.
