Tips for taking a flight with 7 month old?

We'll be taking a 2 hour flight next week. Any tips for packing, flying, etc?

Ohhh man do I have plenty haha!! I just got back from France with my 7 month old - so 8 hour flight BY MYSELF 😂😂 but it went amazingly!!

Carry On
Take a backpack and include
A bunch of gallon zip lock baggies for blow out clothes 
I'd say comfortably 12 diapers in case of layovers (buy them where you're going don't pack a million)
Wipes
2 changes of clothes (preferably zipper onesies, easier to deal with)
Change of top and pants for you .. trust me you'll need it haha
Snacks if they're eating them
Baby food if it's during breakfast or dinner
Any creams or ointments
Pacifier for take off - you can nurse too if they'll do it - mine just wanted to watch people!
Nursing cover - the apron kinds are the best!
Blanket in case it's cold
Two new quiet toys - something they've never seen to distract them!

As for going through security ... gate check your car seat if you're bringing it right away. Take your stroller through the airport to make it easier! You WILL HAVE TO fold it to go through the security thingy so if you have an umbrella use that! You carry your baby through and then they swab your hands for stuff at the end. I only used the carrier when I had to go through security alone on my way home but I still had to take her out.. it was just helpful when trying to fold the stroller alone!

Lastly, people LOVE babies and are so helpful!! Don't feel rushed, take your time ... and remember if she cries on the flight - who cares!! It's 2 hours and you'll never see these people again 🙌🏻

I flew with my baby at 7 months and was a solo flight. I took my carrier car seat and stroller it clicks into. I wore my baby through airport and security and used the stroller to throw my bags I had a back pack and her diaper bag. I highly recommend baby wearing to have free hands. I gate checked the stroller and car seat. I brought 3 bottles of milk and snacks. And a few new toys. Pacifier during take off and landing and for me I tried to get her to nap during and she did great. She also had a bottle during one landing. I brought 2 extra changes of clothes and 6 diapers and plastic baggies in case of blowouts. Ours was a direct flight and only two hours as well. Super easy. TSA was Very helpful and nice. My daughter did awesome on the plane everyone commented when we landed about how good of a baby she is! My thought going in was that it's two hours of my life if she's terrible whatever it's only two hours. Also I let my daughter play with toys on the floor of the airport, crawl etc. before we boarded to make sure she wasn't antsy sitting on my lap during the flight. I know people were probably grossed out by it but whatever I had a blanket down. I also flew first class to have more room.

A few tips to add to the awesome ones you've already gotten... 
1. Pack a mini diaper bag to take into the airplane bathroom (just wipes, diapers, changing pad) - close quarters makes a tight fit with the whole thing... 
2. If you're baby wearing (which I recommend) use a backpack diaper bag
3. Aquaphor!!! Or whatever ointment you use on their bum! We changed LO before and during the flight and she still ended up with a rash 😕

I recommend buying a ticketed seat for baby, strapping car seat into the seat, and strapping in baby during take off and landing (statistically times with most turbulence). I googled it all HARD before our first flight and found this blog from a flight attendant... her stories about unsecured infants... plus then you have car seat with you at destination.

Following, I was about to make a post too. I'm going solo with my 8 month old on Thursday. I don't know how I'm going to get him to sit for so long. I have a 4 hour flight, layover, then 2 hour flight. Based on what I've read, this is my plan...
Checked carseat
All bags will be checked besides a backpack diaperbag
Taking a cheap umbrella stroller for the airport (don't wanna risk damage to our nicer one)
Taking 4 bottles to feed for take offs/landings (my little guy doesn't take a pacifier anymore)
I have one old toy that he loves and one new toy that he hasn't seen before. I have some secure-a-toy straps so they don't drop on the ground.
I got him some headphones that fit around his head like a headband. I plan on letting him watch a video for a few minutes if he gets really bad. 
Overnight diapers (so hopefully it keeps him a little more comfy and I won't have to change his diaper on the plane).
He is in routine to know it's time to sleep if I sing Hush, Little Baby, so hopefully I can get him to nap. 
I can update later (if I remember), and let you know how it goes.
