Can you over feed a breast fed baby?

Question

Can an exclusively breast feed baby be over fed? My son was born 4/5/2017 at 9lbs 7lbs. At his 1 month he weighed 11lbs 13oz. He now is almost 2 months old and probably weighs about 14lbs. I have a lot of people are mom shaming me that I'm over feeding my child. He barely spits up and since he was born only had bad throw up fits 4 times. It makes me feel like crap that I am over feeding him but I feed on demand..

If babies aren't hungry they won't eat. You should continue doing exactly what you're doing and tell everyone whose saying anything to you to take a hike.

He looks fine! Unless the ped says anything just ignore them. My guy was big too at that point and is completely fine.

Unless your pediatrician tells you otherwise, you are feeding just right.  Don't be a fool listening to others and underfeed your kid. If they have no medical background tell them to f*** off

My sister had a big boy and he gained weight very quickly but from about 4 months his weight gain became more steady so he might be doing the same.

If he's getting bottles, too, then it's possible. But, if he's eating solely from the boob then no.

Unless people can quote credible sources for reasons why they feel your baby is overfeed, don't put so much stock in what other people say. 
You wil exhaust yourself if you want to live your life with what other people think you should/shouldn't do.
You cannot overfeed a breastfed baby. Kellymom and dr Sears can back this up if you need info to share with people.
Personally I would smile and nod.😏

My daughter was ebf and chunky. Like in 80 and 90 percentiles as a baby that age. Over the year that's dropped. She is in the 5th now. Once she got active and mobile she thinned out.
