Is it okay to have a coffee every now and then while being pregnant? I had one today and feel a little dizzy ..

My doctor said that I'm allowed 16oz a day for caffeine consumption. I have my cup of coffee! I've never drank or smoke even before pregnancy, so my coffee is my one vice!

It's usually okay to have one cup a day. A general rule of thumb I (even when not pregnant) try to drink two glasses of water per coffee or soda. Caffeine is a diuretic, so a little extra water should be all you need.

This is my second pregnancy and I had one cup a day with my Daughter and with this one and I'm 33 weeks. Stay hydrated and you'll be totally fine.

I've been having a small cup every other day and the days I do drink it are the days I make sure I meet my 9 cup water goal. Extra water for the intake of caffeine.
