Bracero Program/Immigration
This isn't a debate topic but a recommendation😌
Since you ladies/gentlemen love politics and contemporary issues as much as I do, and most of us are American, I'm sure you all have opinions on immigration.
I like listening to podcasts while I cook/clean and I came across one that I thought you all might love! It's by Stuff You Missed in History Class and it's called The Bracero Program. It's really just an overview on Mexican immigration and Mexican/American labor relations in the 20th century with a focus in that particular program. It's middle of the road and respectful, just the facts type of thing and offers historical perspectives from several different points of view.
Like most people, I was never really taught how America went from having basically an open door policy in the 1700s to hostility at the border today, and this was really informative and interesting!
I think you guys would like it!
I know links don't work but if you google Bracero Program Stuff You Missed in History Class it'll be the first hit.
