Car seat recommendations?

Can someone give me some recommendations for car seats? I've heard that Graco has a lot of recalls on their stuff so I'm thinking I'll steer clear on that. But I'm not sure what to even look for. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Love, love, love our Chicco KeyFit. The base is super easy to install, which helps me feel confident when we've moved it between cars. The materials feel higher quality than others we looked at, and I love that just about everything can be taken off to be washed.

I'm going for the Nuna Pipa. It's one of the safest on the market, thanks to the load leg. It's also one of the easiest to install, especially if you have latch in your car, and it's only about 7lbs which makes a huge difference when you're carrying a heavy baby around in it. I have a few friends who have it and love it. Another good one that I looked into was the Chicco Keyfit30, but it's heavier than the Nuna. Another extra safe brand is Cybex. The Cybex Cloud has a great canopy and it reclines, which is healthier for the baby if you use the car seat in a stroller for long walks. The Cybex cloud is definitely not cheap, though. The Chicco is the cheapest of the 3 I mentioned, and if you buy the Bravo travel system it's very easy to click the car seat into the stroller. Travel systems are handy, so if you have a dream stroller in your head, make sure your infant car seat can click into it, with or without an adapter.

We actually registered for the Graco Snugride 35 snuglock carseat. It was by far the best quality carseat in our price range. Its safety ratings are just as good as chicco or britax. While graco has had recalls that makes me happy as a mom to know that they take care of the issues and follow through with safety recommendations. I recommend going into the store and playing with the models you are interested in.
