is getting the NT scan worth it?

Question

Originally I was all on board with getting the NT scan and have already done the first blood test (through the arm). Then I heard people telling me that the NT scan gave them inaccurate results and they worried their entire pregnancy only to find that their baby ended up being fine and normal.

Are you planning to do or have you already done the Nuchal translucency ultrasound scan?

How was your experience?

I don't plan on doing the NT scan of bloodwork with it this time. 
Last pregnancy i did everything and they told me everything was good..  the odds of anything bad were so slim. 
And my daughter had Trisomy 18.
I just went straight to the Panorama test this time.

Yes because I'm going into it knowing the tests aren't 100% accurate and my thoughts are it's better to know their could be a chance so baby gets proper care when they are born then to have it be a surprise.

I declined the NT scan and opted for the cffDNA (cell-free fetal DNA) testing instead. It's much more accurate (99+%, depending on the lab) and can even tell you the gender if you want. It's just a blood draw through your arm too, so it's perfectly safe for Baby. Had mine done at 11 weeks and got results in less than a week.

Plus, they'll measure the baby's neck at the anatomy scan regardless.
