what bassinet do you use?

Hi Everyone!

Looking to buy a bassinet for first couple of months so baby can share our room. I'm a bit nervous to co sleep (my husband is very active in his slumber) so ideally we would like to have something we can put beside our bed. Would also like it to be portable so I can move it from room to room? Does anyone else do this?

What do you use? Why do you like it? Is there something else I should get rather than bassinet?

My baby is not born yet,  but people recommended to us to get a pack n play since it's so versatile. It has a removable bassinet and changing station. The bassinet can be removed and taken from room to room & used as a napper. We are excited about it.

We went covered because of the cats. If they leave this alone, I will switch to a pack and play eventually.

Kathryn, sorry to spam you, but I thought maybe some photos would help. The first two are from her first weeknor so home. She was pretty jaundiced so she was getting some sun - but that one you can really see the whole set up. Also, shows how close you can get without her being in the bed. The last two she is about 3.5 months old, and you can see she isn't rolled off to the side or anything. Good luck finding something that works for your family!

We actually just put the pack n play in our room next to the bed. I wanted something we could use for longer than a normal bassinet. Just a thought 😊

This is the one we've bought. It folds, its lightweight, it can rock or be stationary and I like that the sides are mesh and aren't solid 👍

We do the arms reach co sleeper, it goes right next to bed and has a drop down side so seeping baby is we level with us
