I feel like nowadays kids are really spoiled. You will see children with top of the line iphones, tablets, laptops, and designer clothes. They just sit on their butts and their parents shower them with these items. Some of which don't do chores or have jobs but are handed these items freely by parents who think they are doing their kids good.

I don't think a small child should have a smart phone. A flip phone or phone used only to call in case of emergencies should be allowed. They need to learn to earn those items on their own and honestly I think some technology is not meant for kids.

Kids bully each other over materialistic and superficial items. If you don't have the latest iPhone you are a loser. If your clothes are not name brand you are a loser etc etc. I really wish schools would make uniforms mandatory and prohibit smart phones.

I think education and hardwork should stressed, not getting daddy and mommy to buy you everything. People are too shallow and superficial. All of these spoiled kids annoy me. How do you raise humble, smart, hardworking kids in such a materialistic, shallow world????

Kids now are so obsessed with technology that they don't go outside and play. They sit and play video games for hours. SMH. I used to ride my bike religiously after school during spring and summer. Now kids don't even do that. The obesity rate just keeps rising and rising.
