Some people think having a c-section isn't truly giving birth or being medicated. What is your opinion?

I was reading some material earlier and was surpise that people feel others are less for not having a vaginal birth or going natural (no meds)

I think you're less of a mother if your only validation comes from belittling other mothers for things as trivial as the way they gave birth.

I dunno about u, But if I'm getting  a baby out of whatever orifice of my body, I'm  giving birth.  Sometimes its beyond  your control.  People really need to leave Mothers alone.

As a mother who has 2 kids both from emergency c section...i carried my kids in my belly for 9 months and I don't care how they come out of my body as long as they are healthy 😝

If you've had a c section, it's the easy way out and you didn't give birth. *I'M* qualified to answer this question because i have one child AND a GED and I know everything about everything and I'm wayyyy too insecure and self obsessed to give a c section mom any credit because that credit is for ME AND ME ALONE BECAUSE BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH

Any form of birth is real birth no matter what anyone says. I think it's pretty fucked up for anyone to think they're allowed to dictate who has a real birth and who doesn't.

Birth is birth no matter which way the baby comes out. Even if they vomited it up, they're still expelling a life that grew inside them into the world. It still comes from the same place. They still carried it for a number of months.
Mothers who make everything a competition are sad. Can't you just be happy for one another. Have to feel superior if you're doing it better/harder. At the end of the day, if your baby is happy - you're all doing great. How they popped out of you isn't going to worry them.

I mean, if you want to go by actual definitions, childbirth speaks of the process going vaginally. A c-section is referred to as a procedure (http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Child+birth)

But I mean the end result is the same. You each have a baby. Does it make you less of a mother if you had to have one? No. I know a couple girls who had to have one because it was in the best interests of their baby, how would doing what's best for your baby make you less of a mother?

It came out of your vagina. It is a product of you. It's fine, and perfectly okay. Many woman died when their wasn't an option for c-section or medication..
