mucus plug?

I'm almost 33 weeks and last night I started bleeding a little bit . It was bright red with some clots. Today it isn't as bright but has more clots. Could this just be my mucus plug, I don't want to go to the doctor for nothing. I'm only having random contractions.

Thanks for all the responses! I called and I got checked. It was my plug and I'm about 3 cm dilated. So now I'm on bed rest☹️ but as long as the baby is ok

Oh Gosh you have been bleeding and you need to call your doctor asap or go to ER to get checked.

With my first I lost my mucus plug like 3 weeks before her due date but never had any bleeding... I would go to the er or call your dr.
