Mastisis?

I've never had it but about a month ago I got a tiny spot on my nipple that appeared to be a little white dot (probably infected) that would hurt my whole boob terribly while breastfeeding. I heated it and continued to breastfeed, drink lots of water, and do everything online recommendations said. It's been nearly a month and it still hurts like hell even though the dot is gone. Does this sound like mastisis? No flu like or fever symptoms with it
