Is it actually possible to spoil a baby?

My MIL thinks I'm spoiling my 2 month old. She says this bc he cries when she holds him. I don't do anything but care for him, and what am I supposed to do like not hold him??

My obgyn made it clear that it's impossible to spoil a baby under 1 year. It sounds like she's just bitter that the baby doesn't like her.
