Before the haters start in (lol) I have genital herpes and I would rather have a c-section than take the risk of delivering vaginally and possibly have an outbreak that would harm the baby. I've expressed my concerns to my OB and at first she was all for it!  I'm 28 weeks now and yesterday it was like she was trying to talk me out of it! Not only is it safer for my baby in my opinion, but I've completely got my heart set on it. I know about the risks of c-sections and the pain and the recovery -- I get it. I've made a very informed and educated and well thought out plan to do an elective c-section. How do I get my doctor back on board??
