Wedding rings and Pregnancy tests!

This is a serious question as I am trying to learn     a lot while TTC and Idk if this is some type of trick but I see a lot of pics of pregnancy tests with wedding rings on top of it as though it's circling the lines or next to it. My question is does the ring do something to the test? Or is that just to show that you're married or newly engaged? I seriously don't know. I promise that this is not a shaded question.
