Mirena Confusion, Periods, Ovulation and Removal
Hey guys! I have an odd situation and I'm looking for any insight. I had the mirena for 5 years and had a great experience. My periods stopped, and I was loving life. I loved it so much I decided to get it again after the 5 years was up, so we replaced it with a new one and it went down hill from there.
Each month I started experiencing more PMS symptoms. I started getting my period each month as well, with it getting heavier in time. After a few months in to the 2nd mirena, I had a full blow on heavy 7 day period, cramps, hormonal acne, and super depressing and angry with PMS. At that point I download this app to track my period again since it came so regularly. I talked to my ObGYN who ran blood work and we agreed to removed the IUD.
According to this <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android">glow app</a> I was ovulating the week it was removed. Later that night, we celebrated the removal. I'm wondering what my chances are of conceiving. I've heard so many mixed responses on the removal, ovulation, and if the removal makes you more fertile or if you have to wait a few weeks. Considering I was getting period with the mirena the last few months, I'm very confused. I did start spotting today, but am still hopeful. Thanks for any advice.
