What do you think?

So my partner and I have been trying to get pregnant for a couple of months now. Every month my cycle has come on time and lasted about five or six days. This month it came on time but left after three days. I had very light spotting after that but not like my normal cycle. My question is how long should I wait to test? I don't want to test because I'm afraid of getting a negative result. I've been praying for a positive test result!
