Is it just me? but age doesnt equal maturity

i meet people 30+ who are just as childdish as ppl in there early 20's. lol. age doesnt equal wisdom either. i have met one too many 50 year old fools

It doesn't always equal maturity...but with age comes life experience. So when I see 15 year olds who think they know it all, because of their age I know then have so much more growing and learning to do.

I think that life experiences generally make you more mature so age isn't necessarily a factor but can contribute since you have more time to have more experiences when your older. However not every older person has gone through enough life changing experiences that would play a major factor in maturity. So there are some younger people who may have had more of a life changing experience then someone older people so I think it's really all a matter of the person and their experience with life, being older generally does mean you've had more time to endure more experience but it's not always applicable to every person.

I think age definitely has a direct correlation to maturity/experience/wisdom. But it's a sliding scale and based on each individual. So are their immature 50 year olds? Absolutely. But they're more mature at 50 than they were at 15. Does that make sense? Everyone has a maximum capacity for maturity. I was mature for my age at 18, but I'm definitely more mature now at 30. It's just like money: $100 is a lot to a 10 year old, at 30 $100 may not be worth as much to most people, but there's always going to be that one person who will think $100 is a lot not matter what age they are.

It's the same as people assuming someone will make a poor parent just because of their age. Age doesn't determine whether or not you'll be a good parent - as in a parent that adequately meets a child's need. Feeding and housing them is one thing, loving them and teaching them is another altogether.

Correlation does not imply causation 🤷‍♂️ so while many people do become more mature with age, that does not mean that your age determines your maturity, or that you will inevitably be mature at an older age.

I don't know how to answer the poll, question, but I do not think age equals maturity entirely. I think people mature as they age, though there will be some outliers. Some people mature quicker than others. I have cousins who still act immature despite being well into adulthood. However, I recognize with a lot of them, their upbringing seriously affects this. I have always been told I'm more mature than my peers. That's not really true. I'm just bitter and don't like to have fun so it seems that way lol.

I'm very mature for my age. I don't think I know it all or have gone through it all but I'm 19 and can relate to people in their 40's ( I know because I have friends in that age group ) but everyone is different.
