Should I be worried?

My baby will be 7 months on the 9th. She has been doing a lot of new things now, she is moving her wrist in circular motion sometimes out of no where, and moving her head from side to side.. is this normal for a baby this age?  First time mom here.

I wouldn't worry. My son will be 7 mo on the 13th and he's been progressing a lot this last month. So many surprising new talents. He sometimes tilts his head to the side in an exaggerated way and stares at us then starts laughing. He's also been "playing" with his hands. Rather discovering the different ways they can move. It's good! These things your baby is doing may seem strange, or out of nowhere, but theyre not meanigless. Their part of the development and learning process. Learning to tilt the head to see more, learning to control the hand and wrist. All good skills to add to crawling and exploring their environment 😊

My son does this too and he does the same circular motion with his ankles, he will move his head side to side also. He mostly does the head thing when he is tired and fighting sleep. He does his hand and feet when he is excited, upset, frustrated, etc. He just gets wound up. LOL!

I wouldn't be!! My babe is the same age and started doing the wrist thing a month ago.  It looks like she's conducting an orchestra 😂 I asked doctor and she said it's totally normal.  I have come to notice that she does it most right before she starts a milestone!!
