how long does ice cream/ caffeine stay in your system?

I forgot I can't nurse after eating a huge ice cream...oops. Does anyone know how long I should wait before it's out of my system and I can nurse again?

This is one I've never heard. Why can't you nurse after eating ice cream? I usually nurse WHILE eating ice cream.

Why can't you again? Is it a lactose issue for baby? If so, I read a couple hours. I'd use pumped milk. If there's no lactose issue there's no problem!
