Ovulating or not?

Question

I'm 37 now. I've recently had 3 operations to my cervix which seems to have disrupted my cycle although this could be perimenopause?

I've been using OPKs for the past three months on cycles that vary from 28 days to 33 days. I test from day 10 until day 24 but there is no LH surge, yet I get my period.   Is it possible to have a period and not ovulate?

Answer

I recommend buying a basal body thermometer and taking your temperature every morning.  You can find instructions online.  If you start BBT you'll be able to tell if you ovulated from the increase in temperature.  Maybe ovulation testing doesn't work for you for some reason.  I would think that with cycles that regular you ovulate.
