Should I go to my friend's wedding?

I'm very torn. A great friend of mine is marrying another close friend in Italy this September. I'm a FTM and my baby will only be 3 months old by then. The bride doesn't think I'll be able to enjoy myself with baby there; so my husband has volunteered to stay home if I decide to go. I'm also breastfeeding baby exclusively.

I have to RSVP by next week and can't decide what to do; so I'm asking you wonderful strangers.

Should I go to Italy or stay home? What would you do?

My opinion is that you all go! You and your husband will need a break! Your baby will still be in stages of not doing to much and sleeping. I think it's a perfect time. I took my son around 3 to 4 months old to the beach and we had a blast. I know that the destination is farther away but it will be worth it in the end. I would just try and have the baby fed before the ceremony so maybe it will sleep through that. I did not breast feed so that might be more of a challenge but you should have a cover up or if you ain't comfortable doing it in front of people I am sure there will be places you can go and sit away for 10-15 mins depending how long your baby feeds. But I say go for it have fun. Stay a few days longer and see the sites with your husband and child make memories!!! Bc one day they will grow up!👶🏼❤️

Please go and create memories that you can share with your child to encourage them to explore the world as well! And go have fun!! Its as if you're running away.

If it wasn't overseas, yes I'd get a flight in the night before and out the day after. But during your trip you're going to have to pump and store milk for a long overseas and a few days (long travel time and stay time) and you're going to have to make sure you have a few days' supply at hand for your husband to use. And you'll probably not have a ton of individual time with them at the wedding anyway.   I personally wouldn't do it, I'd take my friends out for a very nice dinner when they get back (cheaper than an overseas ticket)

How long will you be gone? If it's only a few days, I would definitely go. You will probably need a well deserved break by then, and I would feel comfortable about it if my husband were watching the baby, so since your husband offered to stay I definitely think you should go! And you can pump before you leave as much as possible, and pump while you're gone to keep your supply up.
