sleeping on healing piercings?

I got these done about three weeks ago and I've been trying to avoid sleeping on them. Will sleeping on them affect the healing too much? After they are healed will they stop hurting when I lay on them?

I have my helix done. It's been in for at least a year now. And it will STILL hurt to sleep on sometimes. Like once a month or so it will act up on me and get really irritated, so I have to stop sleeping on it until it feels better and then the process will repeat again the next month.

Def don't sleep on it while it is healing because it will get angry with you.

I have 11 piercings, one of which is an industrial. It took a good year for it to be fully healed to the point where it didn't hurt to sleep on. It took the longest out of all of my piercings but eventually it subsides. I've had it now for 8 years and the only time it gets sore is if I have to clean out it out (my body creates a lot of dead skins cells around my piercings so I have to diligently clean them every so often).

I've got 9 piercings, in my experience after the first week you're okay to put pressure on them in your sleep :)

I've had my industrial piercing for 7 years now and every once in a while it still gets sore if I sleep on it too much.

Honestly I got pierced (helix) nearly 6 months ago and if i sleep on them it DOES cause them to be sore and tender for about an hour after waking. But my stepmom (who has 4 helixes, says it'll happen even when they're older)

I do believe however that it delayed my healing a little bit. But I've somewhat trained myself to make a little arm pillow when I fall asleep on that side. Which ends up in a sleeping arm but whatever 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Also: I've heard sleeping on healing industrials (or healed) actually isn't that comfortable

When I had my industrial done, I had 2 separate bars in, this helped so much with sleeping. The bars where only small, but it sort of made it heal faster? They healed at their own time, but I made sure to wait 6 months before changing to a proper bar.

But I would consider changing to two smaller bars 😃

You could sleep on it.  It won't affect them.  Just be gentle and slow when you lay down.
