I've never understood why people are so obsessed with finding out the gender as soon as possible. It will be a surprise whenever you find out and it's one of the last true surprises in this day where technology tells us everything instantly. Enjoy the unknown a little longer, it's fun!

I ended up booking one three weeks before my anatomy scan because it will be on my birthday and bc it's really inexpensive by me - under $50. It's my birthday present to myself this year. But I definitely don't think it's necessary. Since you're so close to your anatomy scan you might want to just wait and do a 4D one later on in your pregnancy or something.

Mines 2 weeks from today and I go back and forth on booking a private one. I'm just waiting for my 20 week one though I'd rather save the money for other things the baby may need.

I totally understand the anxiety and wondering of wanting to know what the little baby is inside of you, but I think you may as well just wait for the hospital one! Finding out the gender truly is one of the last exciting milestones of pregnancy, so while I'm sure you're dying to know, there is also some fun in the anticipation of it all!

If you already have a 20 week scheduled, might as well wait. Why pay extra and ape d extra time just to find out a week early? If they're unable to tell at your ultrasound, then you could always schedule a private one later to find out.
