I've been teaching my 15m old "gentle". She has a bad habit of beating our animals, so I tell her to use gentle hands, and demonstrate by lifting her hand and petting the cat/dog. Same when she hits us, I tell her to use gentle hands and gently take her hand and gently pat or rub.

My 15 month old is bad about hitting , bitting and pulling hair . When he pulls my hair i tell him no and if he still does it i pull his back and hes now getting the hang of no pulling hair. The bitting and hitting i tell him no with a sturn voice and if he does it again i pop his hand while saying no bite no hit with a sturn voice and look. Hes slowly learning .
